FLEXIBLE PLANS FOR EVERY BUSINESS

We have a simple retainer that will work for all areas of marketing and design, and more.

Our retainers mean we’re always focused on making you the best of the best. We maintain a shared spreadsheet of exactly how your budget is being allocated each month, so there’s no more end-of-month sticker shock. And we set up easy-to-understand reporting dashboards that you can access any time.

From basic asset production and motion graphics to video ads and brand strategy, a Stearns Marketing Retainer Subscription lets you choose how you want to use your budget every month based on your business needs.

Each retainer package below, includes a retainer for work to be completed on all service offerings, the only difference is the pricing options. Which of our retainer packages will fit within your budget?

Retainer FAQs

What are the benefits of a retainer?
  1. You’ll gain an extension of your team
  2. You’ll see results faster because we’ll focus on reporting and planning throughout, instead of simply completing a to-do list
  3. You’ll get first-priority access to top-notch specialists without having to wait
  4. You’ll also get access to:
    1. An experienced Account Manager
    2. An online project management system
    3. Reporting dashboards viewable
    4. Regular video conference check-ins
    5. A consistent budget every month
How do you charge? What is points pricing?
  1. We charge clients based on the number of “points” they buy each month.
  2. The most important thing to keep in mind is that points ≠ hours. That means there’s:
    • No confusing rates based on junior vs. senior-level employees
    • No extra charges for revisions (up to a reasonable amount, of course!)
    • No surprises when you get your bill; your budget is tracked in a “game plan” spreadsheet
  3. The formula? It’s simple: one point = $75.
    • It might sound confusing, but we promise you’ll love this model once you get started! It simplifies budget allocation and ensures that you get the full value of every dollar spent, regardless of how much time it takes to deliver.
  4. Here are some other important things to note about retainers:
    • You can increase or decrease the number of points at any time.
    • We reserve 20% of your points every month for account planning, strategy and reporting.
    • Points are invoiced in advance of the month’s work. For example, the bill for work being done in March will be issued on March 1 and due on March 31.
    • Media costs are paid directly by the client. In other words, your credit card will be on file with Google Ads; the media costs won’t flow through us and on to your next invoice.
What is project management like?
  1. During kick off, your Account Manager will set you up with a few different tools to make communication and project management a breeze. This will include an invite to:
    • ClickUp: ClickUp is an online project management platform where discussions about your retainer will happen. This is also where we’ll recap meeting notes, assign our internal team members tasks and more. While notifications will push to email, a permanent record will remain in ClickUp.
    • Game plan: This shared Google Sheets document will contain multiple tabs, including what we’re working on this month, a tab for ideas for the future, a content audit, important links/passwords and more.
    • Reporting dashboards: Depending on your reporting needs, we will set up reports that you can view 24/7 for real-time performance data.
  2. Once the retainer is underway, you will also have:
    • Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly status calls with your Account Manager (frequency depends on retainer size)
    • Monthly meetings to more formally review reporting, planning, and dashboards
What happens during the first month of a retainer?
  1. We understand you don’t want to wait months for results, but we’ve also know that jumping right into random, disjointed tactics won’t produce sustainable growth either.
  2. That’s why we start each retainer relationship by developing a strategic plan that balances quick wins with long-term strategy.
  3. In the first month, you can expect a(n):
    • Detailed kickoff call to help us learn about your business
    • In-depth review of brand standards, existing collateral and other sales and marketing material
    • Account strategy plan with personas, customer journey, competitors and more
    • Two- to three-month marketing game plan outlining your main goals and how we will work toward achieving them
    • Chunk of time dedicated to checking must-have items off of your immediate to-do list
    • Breakdown of where your internal team members could pitch in to make things go faster—we’re all about collaboration!
